My name is Shannon Hobson and I am a visual arts program co-ordinator and facilitator.
I develop and teach inspiring visual arts and preschool curriculum for children of all ages and skill levels. Over years I have worked with hundreds of kids in all kinds of settings.
I love encouraging, energizing and engaging children through art making. My teaching style is expressive, dynamic and fun.
My training in therapy skills, coaching and dynamic group work helps me effectively communicate and connect with program participants. I am committed to creating a space for kids that is validating and positive while supporting and encouraging creative expression.
As a part of my ongoing commitment to learning and community I collaborate with other Artists and Arts Facilitators to develop and deliver interesting additional programming and learning opportunities. I will be inviting other artists to visit on occasion to share with us!
I really like making art too, especially creating with cut paper and paint.
