Join Our Final Art After School Session Starting May 8


We've been having a great time at Art After School this Spring! We launched Juicy Wednesdays, made more awesome art and as things are warming up we are spending more and more time outside! We've been out back in the Acorn community garden space just enjoying the outdoors. It's been so nice to be able to start having some class time outside again! We been loving watching the animals around the bird feeder, especially the Robins, Squirrels...and pair of Cardinals!

There has been a bit of garden work- weeding, raking, digging and turning the soil and deciding where to plant things. Yesterday's group dug up some worms and discovered a fat grub. We have some wonderful new veggie seeds to plant from Urban Harvest - but we have to get the new soil turned and these seeds started ASAP...And make our bean pole tents!
We have *lots* of fun things to do at Art After School this Spring!

Our FINAL Art After School session of the school year begins in just 2 weeks! Registered yet?
This is an 8 week session running from May 8 - June 26

ART AFTER SCHOOL is a 2 hour after-school visual arts program. 
Kids enjoy creating community and art projects taught by friendly, experienced Facilitators.

We have some happy news!
Acorn Studio is happy to welcome Anna, our new grown-up helper in the Art Room!
Anna is completing training hours as an arts facilitator and will be helping and supporting artists with me this session at Acorn Studio. This is a great opportunity for everyone! It's great for all our artists to have an additional instructor at our little studio.
Anna will mostly be helping on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Welcome Anna!

"City Jungle" Camp starts Monday!



Our second Seeds of Creativity Camp starts THIS MONDAY! From August 8-12 our Artist-Campers will be enjoying and nurturing the our community garden, making all kinds of beautiful work and building art-making and gardening skills together all week long. We will be in both the Acorn Art studio and our community garden during "City Jungle' camp week creating and exploring new art techniques and mediums inside and outside through individual and group multi-media projects.



We've got 4 fantastic artist facilitators and guest teachers joining Shannon and our campers for Seeds of Creativity 'Curious Garden' Week. Each guest teacher has a unique set of talents like: mindfulness and yoga, music and movement and environmental science and visual arts. Their names are Daphne, Bernadette, Emma and Marni. We are so happy these special people will be sharing their talents and lessons with us at Seeds of Creativity.
